How we measure your face
An honest look at the method: what we measure, how the scores work and where the limits are. Every line is drawn on your own photo, so you never have to take our word for it.

It starts with two good photos
Everything is measured from your photos, so the way they're taken matters more than anything else. It takes about two minutes.
- Arm's length, or ask a friend. Phone at eye level, not below your chin.
- Soft, even light. Face a window. Avoid a bright light behind you.
- Glasses off, hair off your forehead. We need your eye corners, brows and hairline.
- Neutral face. Mouth closed, looking straight ahead, no smile.
- Side photo at a full 90°. Your ear and whole jawline should be visible.

- Head tiltedTilting changes angles. Keep your head level.
- Hair over your foreheadWe need your hairline and brows for the facial thirds.
478 points on your front photo
A face-mesh model finds 478 points on your front photo: the outline of your face, your brows, eyes, nose, lips and jawline.
These points are the anchors for every front measurement, from your facial thirds to the tilt of your eyes. In your report you'll see them on your own photo, so you can check they landed where they should.

Your profile, traced from the side
From the side photo we trace the edge of your profile, from forehead to neck, and mark the points the profile measurements need.
That means your brow, the bridge of your nose, the nose tip, lips, chin, jaw corner and ear. If your head was tilted in the photo, we level it before measuring and tell you in your report.

Our AI takes a closer look
Our proprietary AI analysis studies both photos in fine detail, sharpens every point and rates 46 visual features, from jawline definition to skin.
If a photo can't show a detail clearly, we say so: that number is marked est, so you always know what is measured and what is estimated.

65+ measurements, front and side
From those points we take 65+ measurements: ratios, angles and distances that facial-proportion research uses to describe a face. Here are three real ones from our sample faces, then what the rest cover.

Each measurement in your report comes with what it measures, how it's calculated and what a higher or lower value means.
From measurements to scores
Each measurement is compared with its ideal range for the sex and heritage you chose, and scored from 0 to 10. Inside the range scores 10. The further outside it, the lower that measurement scores.

Your overall score
One number from 0 to 10 with a kind, plain label. Your report also shows your strongest measurements and your focus areas, with tips for what you can change.
What it can and can't tell you
We'd rather be straight with you about the limits than oversell the numbers.
-
Photos vary
Light, distance and expression all move the numbers a little, so two photos of the same face can score slightly differently. Use the same setup when you compare scans.
-
Close selfies distort
A phone held close makes the nose and the middle of the face look bigger. Arm's length or further gives truer proportions.
-
Beards and hair hide points
When a point is covered, we estimate it and mark it est. Estimated numbers are less certain than measured ones.
-
Ranges are a reference
Ideal ranges come from facial-proportion research, with separate male and female ranges. They're a useful reference point, not a rule for how anyone should look.
-
Not medical advice
We never suggest procedures. Tips stick to grooming, hair, brows, glasses, skin care, posture and photos.
-
Two photos, not your worth
Your report describes proportions in two photos. It can't capture expression, personality, style or how you come across in person, and it says nothing about your value as a person.
Your photos stay private
We keep only what your report needs, and only for as long as you want it.
Kept with your report
Your photos stay in private storage with your report, so every line is drawn on your own face when you come back.
